The Aftermath of the 2018 Sunda Strait Tsunami
On December 22, 2018, a tsunami struck the local coastal areas along Sunda Strait in Java and Sumatra, Indonesia. As a result, 459 people died while more than 14,000 people suffer from injuries. The tsunami is caused by an undersea landslide because of the eruption of a nearby volcano “Anak Krakatau” or the Child of Krakatoa.
